The Board of Directors for Windfern Forest Utility District (Windfern Forest UD) would like to thank all the residents who have already cast their vote during early voting.

If you have yet to vote, don’t worry; there is still an opportunity to vote tomorrow on Election Day, November 7, 2023.

Windfern Forest UD – Open House Recap

The Board of Directors for Windfern Forest Utility District (Windfern Forest UD) would like to thank all the residents who came out and attended our Resident Educational Open House event on October 24. This was an excellent opportunity to get to know your neighbors, ask questions related to the District with our consultants, and understand the water, sewer, and drainage (WS&D) bond authorization proposition on the ballot. In attendance were the District engineer, operator, financial advisor, and legal counsel.

The Open House event is a means to raise community awareness and familiarity with the needs of the District and how Utility Districts fund projects efficiently and effectively. Windfern Forest UD’s Board of Directors cares about its residents and always seeks ways to engage with community members.

NHCRWA Terminates Stage 2 of its Drought Contingency Plan, Stage 1 Remains in Effect

The North Harris County Regional Water Authority is immediately terminating Stage 2 of its’ Drought Contingency Plan (DCP), due to reduced demand. Please keep in mind that Stage 1 of the DCP remains in effect. Stage 1 of the DCP is voluntary.

  • Check for and repair all leaks, dripping faucets, and running toilets.
  • Utilize water conservation measures such as displacement bags, low-flow shower heads and leak detection tablets.
  • Limit irrigation to no more than two days per week, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. following the schedules below:
    • Sundays and Thursdays for single family residential customers with even-numbered street addresses.
    • Saturdays and Wednesdays for single family residential customers with odd-numbered street addresses.
    • Tuesdays and Fridays for all other customers.
    • No watering on Mondays.

Compliance to the above recommendations is voluntary.
